Where is The Smith Hotel?

The Smith Hotel is located at 221 Queen Street in downtown Kingston, within walking distance from the waterfront, as well as the best food and drink the city has to offer.


What time is check-in? What time is check-out?

Check-in is after 4pm. Check-out is 10am. If you would like to request an early check-in or late check-out, please contact us directly and we will do our best to accommodate.


Are all Lofts the same? Can I make a room request?

While each Loft is unique, varying in size and layout, all share the same luxury and amenities. We are happy to make a recommendation for your stay.


Where do I park my car?

Our parking lot is located directly behind the building. A parking spot is included in each booking. Please contact us if an additional parking spot is required and we will do our best to accommodate.


Is The Smith Hotel accessible?

While we have done our best to retrofit this 180-year-old building, The Smith Hotel is not accessible. Each suite features lofts with stairs.


What if I need to cancel my stay?

We understand that plans can change. For reservations made before November 1st, 2024, the following policy applies: A full refund is available if guest cancels the reservation at least 14 days before the check-in date. If the guest cancels within 7 days of the check-in date, they are responsible for the full booking amount. If the cancellation occurs between 7 and 14 days before the check-in date, the guest is liable for 50% of the full booking amount, resulting in forfeiture of the 50% deposit.

Effective for new bookings made from November 1, 2024, reservations can be canceled or modified up to 72 hours prior to your scheduled arrival date without penalty. Cancellations made within 72 hours of arrival will be non-refundable. Once a reservation has been confirmed, any cancellations, date or property changes will be subject to this cancellation policy. No refunds will be given for late arrivals or early departures. Event and holiday reservations are non-refundable. Please contact The Smith Hotel in the event of cancellation.


Can I bring my pet?

While we love furry friends, pets are not permitted at The Smith due to allergies. If a service animal accompanies you, please send documentation at the time of booking.


Do you take bookings for weddings and events?

Whether you need a place to stay or gather, we are happy to host.
